Remember the days of buying concert tees… at the actual music venue? That tradition, steeped in rock ‘n’ roll history, seems to be fading quickly. The advent of the tour pop-up shop has taken over cities like New York en-masse — merch is bigger than ever. Occasionally derivative but always coveted, we’ve seen Justin Bieber and Kanye West pump define tour merch for the modern consumer. The latest to enter the ring is Toronto’s own, Drake.

While Drake wasn’t able to shut down the block like Yeezy, there was a slew of fans ready to scoop up the Drizzy-quote-emblazoned tees, hoodies and caps. The trend is definitely still alive and well. If you’re in a major city, you’re probably going to see at least one kid rocking a black “Revenge” hoodie in the middle of the summer. Now, that’s dedication.

Not even Gildan but still copped.

The pop-up will welcome patrons from August 4-7 — we suggest getting getting there sooner than later.
