Where the runway meets the street

Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and Chinese artist Liu Bolin have teamed up to shoot Moncler’s FW17 campaign. The duo had previously worked together for Moncler’s Spring/Summer 2017 campaign, but this time they take on a more winter-appropriate setting, shooting the campaign in Iceland.

In the images, Bolin uses paint to match his background, transforming himself into “The Invisible Man.” The artist’s body appears translucent, with only a faint outline visible. The result is almost like a trompe l’oeil on first glance – you wouldn’t think there was anyone in the picture’s frame.
