After United Bamboo we see the next high fashion brand/designer work with Converse on a sneaker. Terence Koh was enlisted as part of the 1HUND(RED) artist series and worked on the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi. The sneaker comes in an all white leather colorway with white sole, laces and lining. The Converse logo has been embossed on only one side of the sneaker, keeping the other side entirely clean. The Terence Koh x Converse 1HUND(RED) Chuck Taylor All Star will be released November 21st at Opening Ceremony and other premium retails.

After a quick look yesterday we can show you the United Bamboo x Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists Chuck Taylor All Star. Seeing an actual similarity to the classic Chuck Taylor is on this alteration pretty tough. The sneaker comes with a white quilted upper, suede toe cap and several red accents. In an interesting project Converse connects with fashion label United Bamboo as part of their 1HUND(RED) artist series. The label worked together with Sonia Delauney on a Chuck Taylor All Star, that looks very different from the classic silhouette. The sneaker features an all-over embroidery, suede toe cap and red United Bamboo logo stripe. It will be released in the honeyee.store on November 13th.

Today we can preview the upcoming releases of the Converse Japan Collection. Once again they introduce some interesting alternations of Converse classics, also playing with obvious winter themes this month. The Chuck Taylor comes with quilted patterns, nordig sweater patterns, wool tartan patterns and more. The Jack Purcell comes in a mid version and in a low version in several uni-color versions. The One Star also comes out next month, featuring two wool plaid patterns on the upper and nice leather details and linings.

A solid new mid top version of the Converse Jack Purcell has been relaesed. The sneaker comes in two colorways, both featuring waxed leather uppers, protecting the shoe and your feet from the cold and wet. The sneaker is now available from Mita.

For Spring 2010 Converse continues their music collaboration series and presents a capsule footwear collection with The Clash. They present a series of Chuck Taylor Hi’s in the collection, including white leather versions, as well as black and khaki canvas versions. All sneakers come with interesting details on the sole and the upper, in the form of special tags, prints and more.

The “Love” sculpture and artwork by artist Robert Indiana has become an icon in modern art over the years. For Spring 2010, Converse has worked with the estate of the artist on an official collaborative project, involving the “Love” artwork and their iconic Chuck Taylor. The Chuck Taylor Low comes with a “Love” all-over print and the Chuck Taylor Hi comes with the “Love” artwork on the side-panel and on the mid-sole. Both sneakers also carry the signature of the artist, either on the in-sole or on the tongue.

After Ian Ginoza, Staple and Huf, Blends is the next partner of the Converse 1HUND(RED) Artist Project. Blends and Converse collaborated to create a special (RED) edition of the original One Star shoe.

Blends co-founder Tak Kato says “The Blends One Star came from the idea of keeping it simple and minimal. We decided not to make a literal connection to (RED) with color or logos, but instead we wanted to create something that was consistent with the aesthetic of Blends and our clientele, which is ultimately about timelessness and quality. These are the aspects that we feel will ultimately encourage people to buy the sneaker even if they don’t know that potential for change that it holds.” Also, playing off the fact that the original Ones Star was a high-quality shoe for its time, Blends wanted to make this shoe ultra-high quality, by giving it premium, soft deer skin and paying attention to details without making something overly designed.

The Blends for Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists One Star is available in a low-top, black leather version. The shoe will launch at special events at each store from 7pm – 10pm at Blends in San Diego on Thursday October 22, Blends in Costa Mesa Friday October 23rd and Blends in Downtown Los Angeles on October 24th. It will also be available at select retailers globally after October 24th.

CONS drops two clean new CTS Mids for Holiday 2009. The beefed up Chuck Taylor is offered in perforated black suede over a phaeton grey midsole, as well as chocolate suede on white. Each features monochrome eyelets and a non-standard All-Star patch, which are both good looks. The chocolate is available now while the black hits November 1st, 2009 at Converse Skate retailers. Some nice new styles have landed from Converse’s Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. The latest releases include a garment dyed Chuck Taylor Hi in Moon Rock (pictured), herringbone Chuck His and Lows, plaid Chuck Lows and a nice deep suede Jack Purcell. All styles featured include the Ox treatment, meaning (primarily) a more comfortable insole than your average All-Star. Now available at The Darkside Initiative.
