Today, Nike unveils the latest sneaker in their HTM lineup, the Free Mercurial Superfly HTM. An ongoing collaboration between Nike CEO Mark Parker, fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara and Nike Innovation Leader Tinker Hatfield, the trio’s new offering merges the Mercurial Superfly’s Dynamic Fit and Flyknit construction with the flexibility of the new Nike Free 5.0’s flexible running sole. At the heart of it lays an exploration of how the body is meant to move. Stetson leather appears on the heel foxing while iconic Nike elements like the speckled sole and transparent fuse skin Swoosh make this HTM an entirely new product.
The Free Mercurial Superfly HTM will release on June 12 to coincide with the start of NikeLAB spaces in New York, Paris, Milan, Shanghai and Hong Kong. NikeLAB acts as the brand’s new consumer destination that combines physical spaces with e-commerce, offering its most innovative products. In essence, the platform brings Nike principles and collaborative interpretations to life beyond physical product. In addition to these locations, the sneaker will release tomorrow over at Nike.com.
