Ozwald Boateng x Nike N98 Track Suit

Originally conceived back in 1998 for Brazil’s FIFA World Cup campaign in France, the Nike N98 Suit has been given a stylish new update courtesy of menswear legend Ozwald Boateng to coincide with the current tournament. With over 30 years experience as a tailor, not to mention a stint as Creative Director of Menswear at Givenchy and his own flagship store on London’s illustrious Saville Row, the British-born Ghanaian brings a touch of gentlemanly elegance to the sporting tracksuit with his reimagined hybrid design.

In a combined vision of athletic style and expert tailoring, the new N98 features the ribbed cuffs, laser-cut vents, trimmed seams and embossed detailing of a traditional piece of sportswear, alongside the narrow lapels, jetted pockets and luxurious lining of a fine, fitted suit. Despite being made from soft wool, it weighs just 260 grams, making it both light and breathable enough to wear in the warm Brazilian climate. Each member of the current Brazil squad has been given a suit specifically made to measure, so if you were hoping to bag one yourself, you’re out of luck for the moment. Rest assured, we’ll bring you further news if Nike decides to release it for general purchase further down the line.
