Having just opened its seventh location in Tokyo this week, the Swoosh slides under the radar with yet another NikeLab retail space opening, this time in Chicago, Illinois.
The space, which is located on the top floor of the Windy City’s Nike flagship store, will house a curated selection of the sportswear giant’s ongoing Lab projects and designer collaborations, including recent drops with Stone Island and Roundel.
Additionally, NikeLab Chicago is set to launch its highly-anticipated ACG Holiday 2016 collection, where the division’s Creative Director, ACRONYM co-founder Errolson Hugh, came through to celebrate the latest brick-and-mortar location before its December 2 kickoff.
The sleek space includes a set of hanging display racks meant to pay homage to the interior strap system found within a majority of ACG’s outerwear as well as create a sense of weightlessness within the open area. Further heightening its futuristic utilitarian vibes, the store’s custom wood furnishings nod the unstructured design areas originally found within one of Nike’s most storied creative spaces, Blue Ribbon Studio.
Check out some exclusive shots of the space via the gallery above and be sure to shop ACG’s Holiday 2016 collection both in-store and on NikeLab.com.
