2011 Nike MAG Auction Raises Over $5.6 Million USD

The unveiling and subsequent auction of the Nike MAG was by and large the biggest sneaker event of the year, if not the decade. Working with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Nike sold 1500 pairs of the sneaker over a 10 day period, raising a total of $5,695,190.53 USD. Much respect to all who participated.

UPDATE: If you recall, Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, will be matching this number, so in the end over $11,390,381.10 USD will go to charity as a result of this initiative.
