Established in Copenhagen in 2017, Tekla has earned a neat space in the hearts of those who like to live enveloped in the muffled comfort of natural home textiles, expertly crafted in the small specialized centers of Old Europe.

The Danish brand has 3 pillar collections. The first is “Sleep”, consisting of linen bedspreads, percale, linen Bedding and sleepwear. The second one is “Bath”, consisting of bathrobes and towels. Finally, third one is “Living”, a range of blankets woven in carefully sourced qualities. All bedding and towels are made using 100% organic and Oeko-Text certified cotton, one of the best sustainability certifications out there. 

Undoubtedly however, the flagship items are the pajamas. Simply the sum total of everything it's nice to get under (or over, given the season) the covers with. Elaborating on Tekla's favorite pattern, the vertical stripe, they designed a collection in organic cotton and bought it exclusively from eco-certified producers and had it woven by the skilled hands of Portuguese spinners, in a small, obviously neutral, color palette. There is the reassuring celestine/blue/white that we wore as children, there is the ecru/white that is what one buys oneself when one grows up, and the more assertive brown/blue. Obviously, the proportions are oversized, to minimize the sense of constriction and bypass genders for a unisex feel.

A predominantly online brand, don’t be discouraged as they also have few select outlets in London, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Antwerp, New York and Seoul.
