It’s been a big week already for adidas sneaker drops, but these retro-modern Iniki Runner Boosts might be the cleanest we’ve seen yet.

Up top, the sneakers utilize a vintage aesthetic similar to the Gazelle or Dragon models, mixing neoprene with nubuck suede in five low-key colorways. But that’s where sentiment ends, as a high-tech Boost unit is then incorporated on the midsole, changing the complexion of the silhouette entirely. Unlike YEEZY, NMD, and Ultra Boost silhouettes, this is one of the first times adidas has paired the technology with a retro look, and the end result is a clear winner.

Look out for these dropping at some point in early 2017 for around $120. Will they be making end of year lists this time in 2017? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

In other Boost news, the adidas x Reigning Champ Ultra Boost dropped today in a colorway that looks a bit like television static.
