We take a look at the next new sneaker coming from the Ransom by adidas Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. This season, The Pier takes on a new outsole construction with a nod at the traditional espadrille and has a monochromatic light weight canvas upper. The sneaker will be globally available for Spring 2012 at Ransom by adidas retailers in the coming weeks.

With the NBA All-Star game occurring this month and with big brands introducing releases centered around the event, adidas unveils their Originals AR 2.0 that will be releasing for consumers. This lifestyle mid-top sneaker is inspired by their iconic Forum Mid basketball shoe, but with a modernized look with with a vulcanized sole and ankle strap. These will be dropping at Foot Locker locations for $95.

Ransom and adidas take the Army Trainer Mid and reduce it down to a low version fresh for Spring/Summer 2012. This casual sneaker will be great for the approaching shorts season. It will be available in three solid colors including navy, grey, and white. These will hit Ransom by adidas retailers globally in March of this year.

The new Y-3 Spring/Summer 2012 campaign by Collier Schorr takes its cue from the experimental city of Brasilia. Portraits are collaged with xeroxes of archival Brasilia, to suggest a delicate balance between the body and the many ways it is contained.

‘The Precipice’, Schorr’s fictitious travelogue, leads us further into Brasilia’s dramatic landscape of 20th century modernist architecture. In the campaign concrete structures that loom all around Brasilia read like excavated ruins from a future civilization.

The new adidas SLVR Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, shot by Willy Vanderperre, takes inspiration from the sport of fencing. The precision and elegance of fencing is fused with pop colors for a fresh and vivid visual language.

The accuracy of the combat sport, the strict line of the uniform, are suggested through rigid compositions. Images focus on sophisticated, white tailored silhouettes which echo the fencing uniform juxtaposed with bold pop shades of yellow, red and blue. It is this fusion of tailoring and sportswear which are at the core of SLVR.

The video extends this idea whilst introducing the dynamic moves of a fencer set to a beat which is reminiscent of the sport’s rhythm.

For Fall/Winter 2012 Jeremy Scott tackled the adidas Originals Roundhouse Mid. Working within a fairly standard color scheme for the silhouette (actually nearly identical to one that’s already been out), Mr. Scott added a plastic chain-link and rubber cuff at the ankle as well as 3M reflective striping over the upper. You can also see a peek at the ‘BOP BEE BOP’ shoe, that appears to be scribbled on with whiteout, in the background.

Another adidas x Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012 piece that we can show you is the upcoming JS Forum Hi. Though not as wild as the Flower Bear sneakers, this Forum remains uniquely Jeremy Scott, while at the same time holding on to some semblance of wearability. Look for metal toe caps to make their way into the footwear vernacular for late 2012. Ladies look behind..

As we’ve seen, the classic teddy bear sneakers are back in a new “Flower Power” variation, but also appear on suspender pants – along with the entire original cast – as well as on a jacket with a bear for each sleeve and ears on the hood. Continuing with our preview into the adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012 collection, we’re jumping straight into the flagship sneaker for the season. Following up on his pink and brown teddys, pandas and gorillas, Mr. Scott inflicts a heavy splash of color with the bright green flower-patterned plush seen on the stuffed animal pants we showed yesterday. Madness.
