Kanye West has made the case for military boots with sweats and tactical pants in recent times, but Reeves's red carpet look du jour — slim fit suit, heavyweight stompers, unrivaled rugged charm — has curiously flown under the radar. Perhaps it's time we change that. A good place to begin our Keanuisation journey would be with Arc'teryx's Acrux LT GTX boot, a brand new model that is streamlined to the point it's begging to be worn with something a little more upscale than basic mountain apparel.
Sure, the silhouette might be slightly bulkier than Reeves' favored Grenson hikers (more on those here), but looking at the product shots, I get the feeling a sharp, straight-leg pant (or maybe something like the Indisce pant by Veilance) would cloak over the upper nicely.
