ASICS continues to push the boundaries of sneaker technology with the latest addition to the GEL-QUANTUM family, the GEL-QUANTUM 360 5. The futuristic sneaker is the fifth iteration in the Japenese brand’s advanced GEL-QUANTUM 360 series and drops for the first time today in two fresh colorways.

As the name suggests, the new design makes use of ASICS’ ultra comfortable 360° GEL Cushioning Technology, guaranteeing the wearer a smooth heel-to-toe transition whether they’re walking or running. The brand’s lightweight TRUSSTIC System is integrated into the sole unit, providing the mid-foot with support and stability during movement without adding additional weight.

The technical qualities carry through to the upper, which is constructed in mesh and jacquard using a progressive vacuuming method that requires no stitching. This manufacturing technique gives the upper a sleek in appearance, playing to the concept of fluid motion that the sneaker franchise is built on. Finishing off the futuristic design is an asymmetric tongue and embossed heel counter.

Designed with performance in mind, the GEL-QUANTUM 360 is one of the footwear brand’s most advanced silhouettes and makes sure to visibly highlight the technology. The first drop, which hits stores today, comprises two colorways, a black and white option with hits of blue and lime green in the sole and an all-black version. The kicks retail at €190 and €180 respectively in Europe and at $170 in the U.S.
