Editor’s Notes: Barena Venezia is an Italian brand that has been around for a minute but it's only in the last few seasons Highsnobiety has started paying attention. For Fall/Winter 2019, Barena gives the brand a contemporary facelift, bringing a much-needed relaxed approach to the house's craftsmanship and provenance.

The result is a no-nonsense collection that takes the effortless chic Italy is known for, particularly in the summer, and dresses it up a bit with practical fabrics for the colder months. We're especially drawn to styling that emphasizes silhouette, such as in image 10 where wide-leg trousers are paired with tailored suiting options or in image 11 where a military silhouette is done so tastefully in exquisite materials as to appear removed from the battlefield entirely.

While most readers won't be swapping out their functional, casual wardrobe for an entirely new, formal one anytime soon, plenty of these pieces can be worked in to existing closets with ease. Head on over to Barena's website to check out the first drop from the Fall 2019 collection, as well as previous collections that are currently on sale.
