Highsnobiety

From Bolton to the world, Reebok is a brand that has become synonymous with subcultures, style tribes and Dad’s down the pub in equal measure since the brands inception in 1958. Fast-forward over sixty years and the British brand (by blood), has changed hands and become one of the USA’s most prolific sporting goods manufacturers.

Now under the adidas family tree, Reebok have steadily conquered the performance athletics markets of Cross Fit and MMA, whilst simultaneously producing a quality output across both their general releases and collabs, most notably through their Classics line. We’ve collated twenty of the best Reebok Classics sneakers of the last year, showcasing why Reebok are well deserving of their longevity in the game.

Check out the full list below.

Read on for our guide to the best Reebok sneakers of 2019.

Reebok x Nepenthes Workout Plus Low

Brand: Reebok x Nepenthes

Model: Workout Plus Low

Key Features: A white leather upper is complemented by hairy grey suede on the quarter panel. Reebok branding is seen on the tongue tag and the heel of the grey rubber outsole. NEPENTHES NY branding is also present on the tongue and on the insole.

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: NEPENTHES, famous for being one of the last remaining bastions of New York City’s iconic Garment District and, of course, its en vogue track pants from in-house brand Needles, has teamed up with Reebok on a sneaker collaboration that focuses on a clean, no-frills design.

The understated design speaks for itself, like much of what NEPENTHES does. A clean white upper is contrasted by a hairy grey suede, giving the Workout Plus Low a noticeable, but not too drastic, twist.

As part of the sneaker’s release, NEPENTHES has put together an editorial campaign that references Reebok Classic’s 2000 ad featuring Los Lobos. Check it out above.

Reebok x Adsum Pyro

Brand: Reebok x Adsum

Model: Pyro

Key Features: The sneaker features a cream suede and white mesh upper with hits of color coming in the form of sporty blue and citron green accents. Adsum branding replaces the Reebok branding on the tongue and heel.

Buy: END. Clothing

Editor’s Notes: After a successful New Balance collaboration, Brooklyn-based Adsum has turned its attention to Reebok’s Pyro sneaker. The Adsum x Reebok Pyro was part of the former’s SS19 collection and plays on the same theme as the apparel, taking inspiration from high-performance yacht racing.

The collection is born out of an appreciation for the skill and precision the technical outdoor sport demands. Radiant saturated colors such as hi-vis yellow, orange, and bright blue are set against a more muted white and grey upper.

Retro runners, specifically ’90s-inspired kicks, are back in the spotlight thanks to a concerted effort by brands to reach back into their archives and relaunch some forgotten favorites.

Reebok x Packer Aztrek

Brand: Reebok x Packer

Model: Aztrek

Key Features: Grey premium suede and pigskin upper, mesh underlays, reflective 3M accents, co-branded embroidery, foam midsole, rubber outsole.

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: Packers Shoes partners with Reebok to rework the brand’s resurgent Aztrek. The silhouette was introduced in 1993 as an all-purpose runner, conceptualized by Christian Tresser. Packer’s Reebok Aztrek finds differing shades of grey coming together across the upper, which is done up in premium suede and pigskin. Reflective 3M accents then detail the pair, as co-branded embroidery appropriately tags the collaboration. Lastly, touches of red have been applied to the heel for a pop of color.

Reebok x JJJJound Club C

Brand: Reebok x JJJJound

Model: Club C

Key Features: The white leather Club C silhouette features a JJJJound logo in place of Reebok’s signature branded window on the uppper. Contrasting against the pristine upper, the outsole and liner are done up in grey. The collaboration comes packaged in a special-edition box.

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: In 2018 Montreal-based studio JJJJound collaborated with New Balance on the 990V3. In 2019 the brand worked with Reebok on a pared-back Club C collaboration.

Reebok x Overkill Classic Leather

Brand: Reebok x Overkill

Model: Classic Leather

Key Features: Overkill’s Reebok Classic Leather “Döner” features a black leather upper, newly designed tongue label, printed insoles, and commemorative laces.

Buy: Overkill

Editor’s Notes: Overkill has been tapped to be a part of Reebok‘s “International Food” collection. Along with 43einhalb and Asphaltgold, the retailers each worked on their own release inspired by iconic street food. For Overkill’s collaboration, Reebok’s staple Classic Leather pays homage to the Berliner Döner Kebab.

Reebok x Size? Bolton

Brand: Reebok x Size?

Model: Bolton

Key Features: Designed to pay tribute to running shoes that were worn for style rather than their performance characteristics, this size? exclusive features a “Madras” plaid base with leather and suede overlays at the toe box, heel, and side panels. Signature Reebok branding is present at the heel and sides, while a gum outsole nicely contrasts the colorful upper.

Buy: Various resell sites like eBay, Grailed, GOAT and StockX

Editor’s Notes: size? has paid a lot of attention to detail when it comes to its latest Reebok collaboration. The UK retailer has opted for a “Madras” plaid base due to the material and pattern’s popularity in the ’90s. Suede and leather panels across the upper add subtle hits of white, black, and cream. In addition, the shoe boasts Reebok’s Hexalite cushioning technology, which the EVA midsole is outfitted with.

Dubbed the “Ree-cut Running Club” this size? x Reebok Bolton is an homage to all the running shoes that are never actually worn for their intended purpose, instead being worn purely for style by sneakerheads around the world. Look for the kicks to drop exclusively at size? on August 24.

Reebok x nanamica Club C Stomper

Brand: Reebok x nanamica

Model: Club C Stomper

Key Features: nanamica’s Club C Stomper arrives in white and black colorways, featuring leather uppers, gum soles, a strap covering the laces, navy-colored tongues, and suede panels.

Buy: sneakersnstuff

Editor’s Notes: nanamica and Reebok have come together for a FW19 capsule featuring sneakers and apparel. At the center of the collaboration is a reimagining of Reebok’s classic Club C, outfitted with a strap reminiscent of the Alien Stomper from the ’80s.

nanamica’s Club C Stomper is offered in white and black colorways, each done up in premium grain leather on the upper. The standout design element comes in the form of the aforementioned strap that covers the laces. Both colorways incorporate a navy-colored leather tongue with tonal branding, suede panels around the toe box, and gum soles.

Complementing the Club C Stomper colorways are a matching Vector Track Jacket and Vector Track Pant, as well as Vector T-shirts. The jacket and pants are crafted from corduroy, while the tees are decorated with nanamica and Reebok branding.

Reebok x Cottweiler DMX Trail Shadow

Brand: Reebok x Cottweiler

Model: DMX Trail Shadow

Key Features: The DMX Trail Shadow is predominantly constructed from suede, mesh, rubber, and synthetic materials, featuring DMX Shear technology and co-branded tongues.

Buy: END. Clothing

Editor’s Notes: Cottweiler‘s “Electric Green” Reebok DMX Trail Shadow is scheduled to release this week through Sneakersnstuff, following an initial launch this past September.

The collaborative DMX Trail Shadow sees premium suede, translucent synthetics, mesh, and rubber coming together throughout, as rubber overlays and leather stripes are applied to the heel of the sneaker. The Trail Shadow is outfitted with Reebok’s supportive DMX Shear technology, while Reebok and Cottweiler logos brand the tongues.

If you’ve been looking to get your hands on the Cottweiler x Reebok DMX Trail Shadow, you’ll have another chance when the sneaker releases November 1 through Sneakersnstuff.

Reebok x Palace Pro Workout Low

Reebok

Brands: Reebok x Palace

Model: Pro Workout Low

Key Features: Reflective detailing on the side panel gives the monotone uppers an eye-catching twist.

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes:  After Palace Skateboards teased its latest collaboration with British heritage sportswear brand, Reebok, earlier this week, the collaboration is now available to purchase. The two brands have combined on a trio of Pro Workout Low sneakers that come in all-red, black/gum, and all-white colorways.

All three sneakers feature leather uppers with co-branded detailing throughout. Reebok’s signature side panel Union Jack branding sees “Palace” replace “Reebok,” with “PALACE” and “LONDON” embossed on the heel of the upper.

Reebok x adidas Instapump Fury Boost

Brand: Reebok x adidas

Model: Instapump Fury Boost

Key Features: The Instapump Fury Boost combines the futurism of the Instapump with the cushioning of Boost technology. The silhouette arrives in three different iterations: the “Prototype,” the “OG Meets OG,” and the “Black & White.”

The “Prototype” model features the original white, blue, and orange colorway Steven Smith used on the sneaker’s first production sample. It incorporates a subtle nod to adidas’ Boost™ revolution by incorporating the same mesh paneling used in the original UltraBOOST. The “OG Meets OG” is all about loud, head-turning colorways, pitting citron yellow against crimson and black accents. Meanwhile the “Black & White” model is built from monochrome uppers with GraphLite accents.

Buy: Reebok

Editor’s Notes: adidas and Rebook are keeping it in the family with the release of an all-new sneaker, the Instapump Fury Boost, combining the futurism of the Instapump with the cushioning of Boost technology.

“Instapump Fury Boost is exactly something we would have tried back in 1994 if we had the technology,” said Steven Smith, designer of the Instapump Fury, “We were always experimenting to find the best cushioning system possible. It is great to build a hybrid of the best of both brands’ technologies.”

Reebok x Bronze 56K Club C Revenge

Brand: Reebok x Bronze 56K

Model: Club C Revenge

Key Features: Bronze 56K’s two Club C Revenge colorways feature a full-grain leather upper, molded sockliner, and high-abrasion-resistant rubber outsole, in addition to boasting the Bronze 56K logo on the sockliner, tongue, and laces, and the word “Bronze” stitched on the heel.

Buy: Reebok

Editor’s Notes: Bronze 56K is back with a new collaboration alongside Reebok, following last year’s Club C 85 release. This time around we find the New York skate-crew-turned-streetwear-brand delivering two colorways of the Club C Revenge.

“We were hyped to make another shoe with Reebok after the success of the first one,” said Peter Sidlauskas, co-founder of Bronze 56K. “You don’t often see Reebok showcased in skateboarding, so it was nice to work with a brand that feels relatively unique to us.”

Reebok’s Club C originally released in 1985 as a tennis trainer, before going on to become a staple shoe in the skateboarding community. For FW19, Bronze 56K offers the sneaker in black with purple, gold, green, and white accents, as well as white with red, grey, and cobalt blue detailing.

Bronze 56K released the two Club C Revenge iterations in unisex sizes today, but unfortunately, they have already sold out. You can, however, look forward to a worldwide launch on November 1.

Reebok x Pyer Moss Experiment 3

Brand: Reebok x Pyer Moss

Model: Experiment 3

Key Features: Nappy suede upper, inner hardshell, asymmetric zipper with a co-branded tag, yellowed midsole, tonal Reebok branding, Reebok by Pyer Moss branding at the collar.

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: Kerby Jean-Raymond and Pyer Moss are gearing up to release their latest collaboration with Reebok, debuting the “Triple White” Experiment 3.

The Experiment 3 largely references Reebok’s Mobius sneaker. Here, the laces have been removed, and Pyer Moss has applied an asymmetric zipper to the shoe. Paired alongside the hardshell is nappy suede, while the yellowed midsole below gives off a vintage feel. The Experiment 3 is then branded with Reebok and Pyer Moss tagging.

Buy: sneakersnstuff

Editor’s Notes: PLEASURES partners with Reebok for a 12-piece capsule exploring the intersection between darkness and light. Consisting of footwear and apparel, the collaborative Aztrek and Club C 85 serve as the standouts from the collection.

The BDSM-inspired Aztrek is done up in black leather, detailed throughout with silver hardware. Alongside you will find contrasting white PLEASURES branding, as the shoe then comes with tonal laces.

The Club C 85, on the other hand, is a more colorful entry, with hits of blue suede and green nubuck coming together on the upper. PlEASURES branding is featured on the side here as well, while Reebok branding is embroidered at the heel. Lastly, the tongue tags bear two different graphics.

Is rbx Reebok?

No, RBX is not Reebok. Formerly known as Rugged Bear X-Treme, RBX is a performance fitness brand, with its roots in making performance-level activewear available to everyone. RBX has no affiliation to Reebok.

Where can you buy Reebok shoes?

Generally you can buy Reebok shoes at Reebok.com and all Reebok flagship stores across the globe. You can also buy Reebok shoes at a number of multibrand retailers like Foot Locker and JD Sports.

Stores that stock high-tier Reebok accounts: Goodhood, Overkill, Hanon, Size?, End. Clothing, Oi Polloi, and 43Einhalb.

Where are Reebok shoes made?

Like many of the world’s largest footwear/sporting brands, much of Reebok’s product is made in Asia; more specifically China, in the industrial city of Dongguan, know for producing for a number of the world’s leading footwear brands.

In more recent years, the formally British company (now American) has begun proceedings to move some of its production to the United States. Plans to open a 3D Liquid Factory in Rhode Island, in partnership with footwear plastics company AF Group Inc. began in 2017. Aiming to buck the trend of using traditional molds to create sole units, Reebok’s 3D Liquid Factory will use robotics to "draw" shoe components in three dimensions.

How do you lace Reebok Classics?

Reebok are where they are today thanks in part to their iconic line of Classics silhouettes. Each one as recognizable as the last, they remain some of the most coveted pieces of footwear in contemporary culture. With this in mind, it’s important not to butcher these silhouettes when it comes to lacing up.

Fans of Reebok Classics opt for a loose-laced approach, with just enough taut to make sure they stay on our feet. In short: comfortably laced, without compromising the silhouette.

When it comes to the Reebok Workout, skip the top eyelet on the H-Strap when lacing up.
