NIKE

Analytics firm NPD Group has released sales figures from April through June 2018, showing that the Nike Tanjun was once again the best-selling shoe during the three-month period.

Authored by Matt Powell, the report’s findings may come as a surprise to sneakerheads not familiar with Powell and NPD’s previous analyses. The list of the top ten best-selling sneakers includes seven Nike products, two Air Jordans, and one Converse product, but again no sign of adidas, PUMA, New Balance, or ASICS. Jordan and Converse are both owned by Nike.

The sneakers that made the list are not what many sneakerheads would call hyped, due to many of the products’ low price points and appeal beyond a footwear-obsessed niche. Athleisure was once again a dominant trend, with two Nike slides making the list as consumers react to hotter summer temperatures.
