Buy: CDLP

Editor’s Notes: Luxury Swedish underwear brand CDLP is working with the Tom of Finland Foundation to celebrate the 2020 Centennial of the well-regarded, yet highly controversial artist.

Refreshingly, instead of screen-printing Tom of Finland illustrations onto graphic tees (in the vein of countless Keith Haring collabs), CDLP artistic director Christian Larson has interpreted garments from the sketches themselves and bought them to life. The idea here is that you don't look like a Tom of Finland fanboy, you look like Tom of Finland artwork – hyper-masculine musculature and chiseled jaw pending.

The tank top and jock-strap (what else?) are inspired by two graphite on paper original sketches from 1986 and 1961 respectively. Both items are crafted in silky lyocell with the tank featuring a Tom 1986 embroidery at the hem, and the jock-strap is simply customized with embroidery reading 'Tom.'
