Tessa Thompson seems to have broken Marvel’s code of silence; The actress just revealed that Christian Bale will play the villain in Taika Waititi's upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

Speaking to ET at last night's premiere of Westworld season 3, Thompson, who played Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok and last year’s Avengers: Endgame, said, "Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic. I've read the script. I can't tell you much [...] We're going to have fun. Taika is writing [and] directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix."

The actress, however, was tight-lipped about which villain the one-time Batman actor will play.

The fourth installment in the Thor franchise was announced last summer, with Taika Waititi confirmed to direct and write Love and Thunder, which is the follow up to 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. In addition to Bale and Thompson, Love and Thunder will star Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to debut on November 5, 2021. Keep it here for more updates as we get them.
