Brand: The Clothsurgeon

Season: SS20

Key Pieces: The daisy emblazoned three-piece-suit pays homage to the classic design– immediately evoking free love and anti-war sentiment of the '60s and '70s.

Editor’s Notes: The Clothsurgeon follows up its Browns-exclusive, with a post-war, counter culture-inspired SS20 collection that draws influence from the '60s and '70s.

The “IT'S A LIE” collection recalls hippy culture, conspiracy theories, and the burgeoning environmentalism that defined the period.

Rav Matharu’s signature attention to details for high-quality materials, fit and finish is clear throughout. Cow-hide-patterned shorts and jackets, and patchwork denim ensembles reflect both an experimental approach to fabric and a clear aesthetic vision of a rich and tumultuous period in recent history.

Matharu’s capacity to capture the essence of the “Me Decade” finds expression through contemporary, technical fabrics, and relaxed silhouettes.

The collection is on view now at the Polly King and Co. Showroom in Paris.
