Editor’s Notes: Italian designer Danilo Paura goes on a mood odyssey for his Fall/Winter 2020 runway show. The show took place on January 12 in Milan and featured 18 models channeling the theme of the seasonal offerings.

Paura worked with multi-disciplinary company C41 on the concept of the collection. A small capsule of Gildan-branded products, for instance, explains what Paura and C41 were aiming for: empty, basic, raw surfaces that act like blank canvases to a cultural moodboard. The same approach is used for the nylon puffer, which features a space pattern and a reversible construction to remind us how the moon cycle can influence the brain synapse.

A standout of nearly every Paura collection is the knitwear, which is constructed through different techniques. The patchwork sweater, for example, is crafted in limited pieces using deadstock materials, while the alpaca cardigan is developed in warm tones of sand, green and violet.

Like all Paura collections, each piece is made in Italy. Look for the FW20 collection to arrive later this year. Danilo Paura's Spring/Summer 2020 collection should arrive any day now at PauraClothing.com.
