ASICS has unveiled its first hybrid model, the GEL-KAYANO 5 360 — combining the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG's iconic upper with the advanced sole of the GEL-QUANTUM 360.
The GEL-KAYANO 5 was re-released in 2018 ahead of the shoe’s 20th anniversary becoming the ultimate revival sneaker of AW18 thanks to its '90s upper, loud colorway and overall 'chunky' aesthetics. After the first spot with Berlin's GmbH at Paris Fashion Week, it quickly became a sneakerhead and high-fashion fave.
Now ASICS have (obviously) gone a step further, combining the stylish, retro vibes of the GEL-KAYANO 5's mesh and synthetic leather upper, but now supported with the 360° of the GEL tech which we know and love from the Japanese label. The GEL enables excellent shock absorption as well as enhanced durability, making the GEL-QUANTUM 360 one of the most comfortable performance shoes on the market. The result is a fashion-forward statement sneaker for SS19.
