Parisian footwear label Philippe Model has teamed up with Dutch illustrator Gino Hoiting on a limited edition sneaker set to release this evening during Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan.

The collaboration takes Philippe Model’s all-white Gare silhouette and gives it an unconventional update featuring Gino Hoiting’s signature illustrative style. The Gare model remains clean and understated but Hoiting has added to the low-top sneaker a tropical design and a unique hummingbird reminiscent of a spontaneous doodle — the hummingbird is one of the artist’s most recognizable motifs.

Gino Hoiting is a Dutch illustrator born and raised in Utrecht. He launched his own studio in 2009 where he focuses on both commercial and personal projects working with publishers and brands and exhibiting his drawings, animations and installations. His signature style employed in the Philippe Model collaboration combines analog and digital techniques.

The Gino Hoiting x Philippe Model sneaker launches tonight online and at the brand's flagship store in Via Sant’Andrea 17 during Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan. As part of the launch the brand will host an exclusive in-store event with Gino Hoiting, Giulia Valentina and Marco Cartasegna in attendance.

Pick up the limited edition Gino Hoiting x Philippe Model design at the flagship store in Milan or online at philippemodel.com.
