Steam rises from bodies and spills onto the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, where, beyond club doors and down a flight of stairs, an underground celebration has transformed into a rave. The occasion? The start of a new chapter for Off-White.
Last Thursday, in collaboration with the queer party series and multimedia platform Tunnel, LA’s creative community gathered to celebrate the launch of L/AB c/o Off-White™, a new brand created for the next generation of cultural disruptors.
As guests slowly began pouring into Catwalk, sounds from River Moon’s DJ set hypnotized like sirens, luring bodies inside for a night of dancing and plenty of drinks (necessary in the middle of a Los Angeles heat wave).
Within the concrete walls of the club, the crowd moved as one. Mia Carucci and Tara Yummy floated through the room while photographers squeezed between clusters of guests and flashes bounced off mirrored surfaces. Alabama Barker made an appearance, and the three bars remained several people deep all night as conversations overlapped with the music and guests found themselves sharing the same patch of dance floor. By midnight, the space was radiating with raw energy, reminding you that this only happens when a city's creative worlds collide in one room.
The gathering marked the introduction of L/AB c/o Off-White™, a new venture from the house that places community, experimentation, and creative exchange at its center. Drawing on Off-White's longstanding relationship with youth culture, the lifestyle label creates space for a world where ideas are constantly evolving and shaped by those who engage with them. The name references a laboratory, a place of discovery, where creativity unfolds in real time.
That sense of openness carried through every corner of the event. The crowd reflected the world L/AB hopes to cultivate, one made up of artists, musicians, creators, and emerging voices who influence culture through their own perspectives. Throughout the night, guests drifted between conversations, on and off the dance floor, vogue circles commenced, and real connection began to take place, creating a rhythm that felt spontaneous…with the help of some tequila, of course.
When Fashion took over the decks, the crowd erupted as Sexxy Red’s voice eclipsed the room. The tempo quickened, while the floor filled up with guests pressing closer together as the music echoed through the underground space. Campaign vixen JT, dripping in an athletic black two-piece set from the collection, was spotted in VIP dancing, where her other L/AB co-stars, Glaive, PZ, Vivian Jenna Wilson, Mazzy Joya, Julez Smith, and Jay Guapõ, were scattered throughout the crowd, vibing alongside friends. Jay, adorned in a full denim look accompanied by his signature backpack, but this time it’s L/AB. The campaign came to life in real time, with each personality embodying a living expression of the community featured in the brand's debut collection.
As the night stretched and guests filtered back onto the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, the atmosphere underground lingered. Sweat, bass, laughter, and chance encounters transformed a rather normal Thursday in July into a night worth remembering. Catwalk became a reflection of the world L/AB c/o Off-White™ is introducing, a world shaped by the people inside it and constantly evolving with every new voice that enters the conversation.
