The Next Big Thing in Coffee Is Surprisingly Small
There are few things more personal than the way we make our coffee. Some people have a morning ritual down to the exact second, while others are happy to rush through the early hours after abusing the snooze button. Somewhere in between convenience and quality, coffee lovers have often had to compromise. Lavazza’s Tablì aims to change that.
Making its U.S. debut this summer, Tablì is about to introduce a completely new way to experience espresso at home: a system that uses a 100% coffee tab designed to make brewing simpler while keeping the focus on the coffee itself. The innovative format removes the extra steps and materials often associated with single-serve coffee, only focusing on carefully crafted coffee, ready to brew. Lavazza knows the future of coffee is just 100% coffee.
After years of research and development, Lavazza created a way to precisely dose, grind, and compress coffee into a solid tab that preserves the experience coffee lovers care about most. Before it even reaches the machine, Tablì lets you see, smell, and feel the coffee itself—even before it reaches the cup in the final form. Designed to deliver the rich crema associated with a traditional espresso, Tablì’s unique shape allows the coffee to expand as it brews, creating a smooth, velvety finish that Lavazza calls “Crema Plus”.
Designed in Italy, Tablì comes with an intuitive one-touch slider inspired by the shape of a coffee bean. Available in Graphite Black, Sand White, and Walnut Brown, Tablì is designed to blend naturally into any coffee routine, whether that means a quick espresso before heading out the door or a relaxed cappuccino during a slow weekend morning.
The best way to understand Tablì is to experience it firsthand. This September 5th and 6th, Lavazza will bring this new coffee experience to life at its New York City pop-up at The Meatpacking Collective at 412 West 14th Street, giving coffee lovers a closer look at the technology, blends, and assortment that puts Tablì at the cutting edge of coffee culture. Open from 10am to 5pm, the pop-up will invite guests to explore five different Tablì blends alongside other coffee drinks: Super Crema, Espresso, Double Espresso, Lungo, and Decaf—each coming precisely measured and ready to brew. Lavazza is the official coffee of the U.S. Open, so it makes sense that they would capture the energy of the tournament while inviting visitors to experience a total evolution in their daily coffee ritual.
