Brand: Les Basics

Season: SS19

Key Pieces: The entire lineup is solid and simplistic, but the clear standouts are the color-block tees and sweaters, as well as the Le Couch Jacket.

Editor's Notes: Following its minimal FW18 menswear essentials, Les Basics is back with more clean heat for the SS19 "Downtown" collection.

Encompassing staple wardrobe pieces like tees, sweaters, shorts and new silhouettes like the Le Couch Jacket, Le Leisure Pant and Le Windcheater, the lineup of offerings is rounded out with a set of 5-panel caps.

As Les Basics puts it, SS19 marks the "begging of the end of austerity," and with the UK exiting from the European Union, the British brand aims to lighten the mood with playful Franglais slogans, brighter shades with color-blocking and contrasting fabrications. The highlighting color palette of the season includes fresh lemon, sky blue and coral, as well as the usage of two-tone themes with green and black, coral, and gray. Additionally, essential tones such as ecru, army green, navy, stone and black remain.

With the featured lookbook captured in Los Angeles, the first drop of menswear staples is now available to cop on Les Basics' website. Prices start at about $56.

Up next, Elhaus offers the perfect indigo wardrobe for FW18.
