When New Balance first introduced the classic 997 silhouette in 1991, it boasted new technology and a fresh aesthetic for the 99x series. By fusing its C-Cap within the ENCAP sole unit, it was a striking departure from previous iterations.

The updated 997 Sport features an all-new sole unit with a layered suspension system, fusing both new and heritage technologies, including Encap Reveal and Abzorb. It’s a balanced marriage that showcases the 997S’s evolving tastes with today’s consumers.
