The Pagani Zonda may no longer be in production, but there are still a handful of special editions roaming around. One such model, the Zonda HP Barchetta, is reported to cost $17.5 million USD, according to Top Gear, making it the most expensive car in the world.

The recently-spotted Zonda HP Barchetta belongs to Horacio Pagani, while two other iterations are being built, but they have already been pre-sold. The exotic beast boasts a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine capable of cranking out 789bhp, in addition to featuring a six-speed manual gearbox.

Forged aluminum wheels — 20-inch in the front and 21-inch in the rear — then note different color inlays, while the rear wheel fairings are made from carbon fiber. And although it's roofless, the Zonda HP Barchetta has a roof scoop.
