Woolrich Gives You the Freedom of Three Jackets in One
As a result of the continued popularity of hiking and mountaineering gear, I’ve found myself obsessing over taped seams and waterproof fabric membranes. It has created a craving for all jackets to boast technical features and Woolrich’s latest release provides the technology and utilitarian design to fulfill those cravings.
The big news that comes with the “3 in 1 Freedom Jacket” is in the name: it’s three jackets wrapped into one. The garment is a combination of a jacket and inner liner, both of which can be worn separately or together to create the ultimate cold-weather fighting machine.
Its laminated 2-layer 40D fabric is created using recycled materials and manages to be both breathable and waterproof. The inner liner is produced with heat-generating and quick-drying VIVO™ insulation to produce a safety blanket against adverse weather conditions. Combined with plant-derived seam-sealing and removable wrist gaiters and powder skirt, practical considerations are littered throughout the design.
Releasing alongside a selection of equally functional items as part of the label's FW21 selection, the collection focuses on 70s ski culture. With a rich history of creating gear for the slopes, the collection centers around three themes: “FREE SKI”, “TRANSIT” and “LODGE LIFE". This results in the collection having everything you need for bombing the slopes, for comfortable movement, and for the all-important apres-ski.
The full collection includes the Terra Pile Fleece Jacket, which is returning from last year due to popular demand, along with further outerwear options and a cape. Check out more of Woolrich’s offerings below, available to shop now from the Highsnobiety shop.
