This week Blumhouse has shared the trailer for its new psychological thriller, You Should Have Left. Written and directed by David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Panic Room), the film stars Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried.

Bacon plays a successful middle-aged man in You Should Have Left, while Seyfried portrays his wife and young actress, Susanna. Together, they venture to a secluded rental property on the Welsh countryside with their six-year-old daughter Ella (played by Avery Essex) for a much-needed vacation.

Upon checking in to the home, the family of three soon learns things aren't as quaint as they initially appeared to be. Shadowy figures run rampant around the house, and an anonymous presence leaves disturbing notes in the father's journal, one in particular reading, “You should have left … now it’s too late.”

You Should Have Left is based on German author Daniel Kehlmann's 2017 novella of the same name. The film is scheduled to debut digitally on June 19.
