Irish designer Simone Rocha presents her next collection for Moncler titled '4 Moncler Simone Rocha, Moncler Genius: The Next Chapter.' The groundbreaking project experiments heavily with fabrication, fusing reinterpreted floral motifs and decorations with an air of chic functionality.
Rocha lends her design palette to Moncler’s unmistakable silhouettes like parkas, blousons, and jackets, applying signature embellishments like sequins, pearls, ruffles, flower prints, and various embroidering. The resulting women’s collection is a sculptural explosion of romantic femininity.
The collection’s theme centers on being outdoors, in the garden, while being sheltered and protected from the elements (mainly rain). As such, Rocha works with ultra lightweight nylons and taffetas, along with PVC elements throughout. The gardening theme is accentuated by accessories like PVC aprons, floppy brimmed hats, flower-shaped goggles, foulards, and ruffled bags.
