Action Bronson Is Serving Up a Slice of New Balance Baklava

Between music, wrestling, cooking, and sneakers, the Queens artist has flexed his creative muscles to solidify himself as a true Renaissance man. Now, he's combining his passions to deliver the New Balance 990v6 "Baklava."
Few are quite as well-rounded as Action Bronson. I'd go as far as to throw him in the same realm as Pharrell, Tyler the Creator, and Donald Glover. Each of these artists, while best known for their musical offerings, has spread their roots far to become weighted names in fashion, TV, and film, or, in Bronson's case, the culinary world.
Through his show, Fuck, That's Delicious, Action Bronson shared his deep appreciation of food with the world, highlighting his favorite spots for eats and flexing his cooking abilities as an ex-Chef.
These culinary skills have earned him one of his many nicknames, Mr. Baklava. Through this persona, his love of food meets his passion for sneakers, specifically New Balance, with the impending arrival of his very own NB 990v6.
This upcoming collaboration is no secret. Through his ongoing tenure as an AEW wrestler, BamBam has teased the sneaker several times. Release details have remained a mystery, until now, with a closer look being shared by Bronson via Instagram.
Set to release in 2023, the sneaker features a heavily contrasting upper, pairing neon green with blue, purple, brown, orange, pink, and grey. The pièce de résistance has to be the shoe's tongue, which switches out its traditional New Balance branding for "Baklava" typography.
