It's cozy season, which means one thing – it's time to pull out your favorite hoody and sweatpants, possibly from Pharrell and adidas Originals' new Winter Premium Basics collection, and do a whole lot of nothing.

If such a thing as the perfect hoody truly does exist, then it is the holy grail of style. Look at it this way – chilling at home? Hoody. Struggling to find that perfect temperature-appropriate dress in late summer? Hoody and shorts.

We've all got our favorites; the one that drapes perfectly, the best-sized hood, with laces or without, boxy or fitted.

In the words of Kanye West in his 2020 WSJ profile, "the hoodie is arguably the most important piece of apparel of the last decade." Given how popular his first round of YEEZY GAP hoodies was, it seems that many fans are willing to agree that Ye has achieved his goal of crafting the perfect hoodie. Or not.

adidas Originals is clearly where the best basics are conceived, as Pharrell is another Three Stripes alumni with their own line of premium basics.

For the winter version of the Premium Basics collection, which was last seen in spring, the line-up offers all of the sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and tees that you could dream of.

Crafted from adidas' highest quality jersey – 100% organic French terry cotton – each product comes in gender-neutral sizing, in a full run from 3XS to 2XL.

Alongside the apparel component, Pharrell's winter-ready capsule comes complete with three new iterations – "Halo Green," Off White," and "Core Black" – of his adilette 2.0 sandals.

The full Pharrell x adidas Originals Winter Premium Basics collection launches globally on December 23.
