Double Tap to Zoom

As you're aware, we're all spending more time indoors. In the meantime, temperatures outside continue to rise, making shorts now an absolute necessity. Aside from the obvious heat-bearing benefits of shorts, the beauty of working from home, and the subsequent Zoom meetings, is that you're only top-half-on-show. No matter how formal you need to be for work, it doesn't really matter what's beneath.

Now that isn't to say we're about to advise you to pair shorts with a blazer, shirt, and tie, though. Comfort is in order, too, which means tees, long-sleeves, and sweatshirts are all smart choices for your top half when working (and relaxing, exercising, eating, and socialising) from home.

The good news is — when shopping for shorts, you really don't need to break the bank. At affordable destinations, including Urban Outfitters, there are plenty of them on offer for way under the $100 mark. We've selected some current favorites, in a range of colors and styles, as well as the home-ready pieces we recommend pairing them with.
