Double Tap to Zoom

We’re now onto the eighth collection by Arc'teryx System_A, a line designed by Taka Kasuga to bring a more youthful edge to the Canadian outdoor brand, and in that time we’ve seen some red threads emerge between each drop.

Always concise, System_A’s collections are usually short but sweet, exploring a single theme with one standout color. And its latest release, available from January 22, sticks to that winning formula.

Drop 08 sees Arc’teryx System_A deliver a trio of insulated and weather-resistant products prominently embroidered with the brand’s logo. “Designed for warming up between sends,” according to Arc’teryx, there is a boxy-fitting packable jacket made from ripstop, a bucket hat, and a large tote bag, all insulated for added warmth.

The color options are predictably small and offer a vastly different vibe, there’s either a bold red or a subdued black to pick from.

Once again, System_A shows that through subtle alterations it can bring a new edge to Arc'teryx's vast archive of technical wear.

Sure, if you want similarly insulated outdoor gear, there’s lots to pick from in the Arc’teryx mainline. However, you’re only going to get those nice boxy fits and playful embroidery from its System_A line. And it’s those little touches that make it.

Drop 08 is business as usual for System_A, in the best way possible.
