Double Tap to Zoom

It’s no secret that ASICS knows how to craft a high-performance running shoe. The Japanese label has been in the business of equipping athletes with footwear since its founding in 1977.

However, what’s lesser-known is that the brand also creates some of the most cutting-edge sandals in the world. Enter, the ASICS ACTIBREEZE™ 3D SANDAL 2.

Made to provide comfort and relaxation before and after your run (although, it’s equally suitable for long summer days relaxing at a pool), ASICS' ACTIBREEZE™ 3D SANDAL 2 houses a lot of technology.

Developed at the ASICS® Institute of Sport Science (ISS), the research institute has scanned over 1,000,000 individuals' feet over the past 30 years and the findings from those scans were instrumental in the development of the ACTIBREEZE™ 3D SANDAL 2.

I won’t bore you much longer with the technical research (there’s a detailed breakdown of that on the ASICS website), but just know that the 3D-printed footbed, open lattice structure, and chunky shape of these sandals haven’t been designed to look futuristic: they’re designed for nothing but performance.

However, the colorways that these recovery slides come in? They’ve been designed for pure aesthetics.

The slides come in two very colorful iterations, clashing together bright hues such as orange, pink, and green.

These borderline garish color combinations will make sure that your innovative new slides don’t go unnoticed — although, there’s also an all-black version for those wanting something a little more low-key.

The follow-up to last year's debut ACTIBREEZE 3D SANDAL, which sold out rapidly, these upgraded and colorful sandals are now available from ASICS retailing for $90.00.

The worst of winter is behind us (spring officially begins next month) and if you don’t have a rotation of slip-on sandals already prepared for warmer days, then you’ll struggle to find any more advanced than these from ASICS.
