New Balance’s Coffee-Flavored Shoe Is Straight-up Mouthwatering
How would you like your coffee-flavored New Balance 204L sneaker, sir? Black.
Of course, it's more of a rich chocolate brown. But you get the point. It's a 204L sneaker so good, it's delicious. A certified outfit boost, if you will.
We can thank Tokyo shoe store Billy's for the new "Black Coffee" New Balances. The brand did its thing with this pair, dressing the model in an elegant (and exclusive) tonal colorway and equally tasteful materials. The uppers feature suede, leather, and mesh, all bathed in the dark brown color scheme.
Billy's 204L sneakers also come with two sets of laces: a brown pair for a full-on monochromatic look and turquoise laces for a satisfying contrasting pop. Either way, the shoes are still perfectly "brewed."
Although barista-worthy now, the 204Ls keep much of their original look. It's still the same Miu Miu-coded, low-soled, slimmed-out sneaker, just caffeinated this time around.
New Balance certainly knows how to whip up a mouthwatering coffee-themed sneaker. It just dished out a rich T500 collaboration with Todd Snyder. Before that, it was making "Cortado" 204Ls on its own. Now, it's placing a "Black Coffee" order at Billy's.
The New Balance 204L "Black Coffee" sneaker will release exclusively on Billy's website on November 7. The shoes will retail for ¥17,930, about $113 at current exchange rates.
