A fan of Batman? Or just really into super tricked-out motorcycles? Then you'll be pleased to hear that the Caped Crusader's murdered-out Batpod from The Dark Knight will soon be up for auction. That's right, one of the actual prop bikes used during filming could be yours, albeit for quite the pretty penny.

The Batpod was the brainchild of production designer Nathan Crowley and built by special effects supervisor Chris Corbould, as this particular model features the original fiberglass body, non-functioning cannons, custom-made chassis and a Honda 750 engine.

All in all, there were six different Batpods built and used during the filming of the movie, but this exact edition is the one highlighted in virtually every closeup that you see while watching the flick.

The auction for The Dark Knight Batpod begins on September 27 via Prop Store, as it is expected to go for between $80,000 USD to $100,000 USD.

Also, take a look at this real-life Batman suit that recently broke a Guinness World Record for 23 functioning gadgets.
