It may be the same color as cardboard, but camel ain't tasteless. We're not talking the humped ungulate variety here, but camel as in the beige-but-not-boring color. When done right, camel clothing is a perfect hue for winter-ready gear, whether that be tailored coats, sweaters, scarfs, or berets.

A camel coat is a dialed-down wardrobe cog that fits the hushed backdrops of colder months. Though muted in tone, a camel outerwear piece says a lot for sophistication. And the wool- and silk-blend number by Naushka says so, too. On a literally lighter note, a minimal shirt jacket in camel is a smart choice for layering.

Apparel aside, sneakers by Nike and Maison Margiela fit the bill. And to complete the look — we're loving the camel beret by Burberry and pairable Acne Studios scarf.
