To reach its final rating, Good On You assesses a brand’s policies and practices in three main areas: people, planet, and animals. All of the ratings are based on industry standards, certifications, and a label’s in-house reporting.
So, any item that you find in the Browns Conscious Edit meets one of the following criteria: it may be made with more than 50 percent conscious or certified materials; the finished product holds an independent certification relating to good environmental, social, or animal welfare practice like Fairtrade; the product could be vintage or pre-owned; or the product comes from a brand that has earned a positive Good On You rating.
