While speculation has gone back and forth, Daniel Craig himself has this week confirmed that he will indeed be returning to play James Bond. News was broken during the 49-year-old actor's recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Craig was reportedly fed up with the demands of the role following filming of 2015's Spectre. He even went so far as to say in a interview that he would “rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than continue playing Bond.
“Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid,” he followed.
The upcoming James Bond picture will be Craig's fifth and more than likely, his last. “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”
Bond 25 is currently scheduled to arrive November 8, 2019.
