The ninth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise just got its first teaser trailer. The Fast 9 clip shows series lead Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) in a wholesome new light but, as the clip title ("Things Change") suggests, things are about to get messy.

"Things change," Toretto's voiceover says. "Now that I'm a father, I can't live my life a quarter mile at a time anymore." We open with Toretto working on a tractor with his young son. Toretto's wife, Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) later calls the little boy Brian — a tribute to Brian O'Conner, the character played by the late Paul Walker.

The twist comes at the end of the minute-long teaser, when Letty reveals something is coming, but we don't learn what it is. More details, perhaps, might come on Friday, when the full trailer for the film is released. Until then, check out the teaser below.
