BMW

BMW has announced a new project in collaboration with legendary artist Futura. Futura has in turn partnered with the automaker to design three special examples of the BMW M2.

Featuring hand-painted designs by the 64-year-old artist, the BMW M2 by Futura will be officially unveiled at Frieze Los Angeles tomorrow, February 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Paramount Pictures Studios’ Backlot. A special edition production version of the vehicle will then go on sale later this year.

BMW is returning to Frieze LA for a multifaceted program, highlighted by the collaboration with Futura. As a part of this year's festivities, the company is also hosting an art talk with Futura and Lupe Fiasco, as they discuss the intersection of art and mobility.

Again, the special edition BMW M2 will make its world premiere tomorrow, February 13. Futura hand-painted the three examples at BMW's world headquarters in Munich.
