Haglöfs Breaks New Ground With the Innovative V series Raw Anorak
Swedish label and purveyor of some of the world's best outdoor equipment Haglöfs just released a cutting-edge new anorak bringing together forward-thinking design and innovative material technology. The result is a futuristic outdoor jacket that's sustainably made yet durable in the face of extreme conditions.
The new, unisex V series Raw Anorak is the second product in Haglöfs' groundbreaking V series and the latest from the brand showing why it's a leader in the outdoor field. It features three dynamic layers built using PROOF™, the brand's material technology constructed for total water- and windproofing. The material is also fully taped, fluorocarbon-free, and undyed, meaning less material, water, and chemical waste went into its production.

That’s why it’s made from a recycled nylon fabric and held together by Vectran™, a thread used in cables for deep-sea explorations. Pretty amazing, not least when you realize that this will help the anorak last for decades. This anorak is truly different from a traditional outdoor jacket. Except for the color. The material has been left its original shade of white – because by skipping the dyeing process we saved an incredible amount of water.“
Despite the seeming complexity of such a product, Haglöfs has managed to make something with a relatively minimalist aesthetic. For added functionality, the jacket even features subtle but valuable details such as side slits and zips, buttons on the sleeves, hood, and body, and a zippered front pocket.
