To celebrate the unique heritage and position of Danish design, HUMMEL HIVE has dropped two Marathona II Premium silhouettes for fall. First released in 1983 as a combined running and leisure shoe, the sneakers combine premium materials with rich colorways that nod to warm yet sleek and minimal Danish design.

Available in an off-white or apple cinnamon, both colorways combine black, gray, white and red that adds a subtle pop. The Marathona II’s distinctive chunky runner silhouette combines a premium suede across the upper (and perforated at toe box) with leather heel sections and tongue in subtly contrasting colorways.

HUMMEL HIVE is the Danish-German sportswear label’s distinctive creative archival wing, focusing on the intersections of lifestyle and sport, past and future – and all laced with HUMMEL’s characteristic Northern European and Scandinavian edge.

The Marathona II Premium sneakers dropped earlier this year at selected specialist stores including Hanon, Støy, Afew, Black Rainbow and Berlin’s Overkill.
