IKEA has released an instructional guide on how to build a proper fort. According to urdesignmag, the project is a collaboration between IKEA Russia and a creative agency by the name of Instinct, designed to occupy kids during coronavirus lockdown.

“#StayHome was a general slogan of this spring,” said Instinct. “Self-isolation and quarantine measures are ongoing. Parents no longer know how else they can entertain their children being stuck inside the four walls. To those who are totally out of all ideas, IKEA Russia offers to build a play house using instruction and things which can be easy found in every home – blankets, bedspreads, chairs, stools, etc.”

The IKEA guide consists of six designs including the house, fortress, castle, camping tent, cave, and wigwam. Each fort can be made using common items found in most homes, although IKEA has also recommended its own furniture and accessories. By utilizing things like a couch, sheet, and cushions, you can transform your living room into a bonafide fortress.
