Highsnobiety doesn’t exist without community. The whole platform is birthed from a culture that revolves around an exclusive, tight-knit community of people with the same niche interests. Of course, we’ve grown a lot since our humble beginnings as a sneaker blog, but the vision is still the same.

So, when we designed the Jack Wolfskin x Highsnobiety collection for Highsnobiety Sports, we knew that as well as it being functional and high-quality, it could be even more than that.

Using the launch of the Jack Wolfskin x Highsnobiety collection as the anchor, we brought together a group of our friends in LA to go for a hike. Not only was it a way to make connections and spend a day in LA’s rolling hills, but it was also a way of testing out the collaborative capsule for ourselves. Take a look at how our Instagram community styled it for more proof.

Meeting at our Highsnobiety Sports pop-up store on Sunset Boulevard at 8am, the happy hikers filled up on breakfast before heading out to Runyon Canyon for the main event. We hiked for a couple of hours around the canyon, taking in the sights and testing the collection against the conditions.

Once we were all satisfied that the Jack Wolfskin x Highsnobiety pieces stood up to the challenge (and were all too tired to do any more hiking), we returned to the pop-up at Fred Segal to recharge on some refreshments.

Be sure to shop the Jack Wolfskin x Highsnobiety collection here and catch up on what went down in the video below.
