The onslaught of unseemly news shows no signs of slowing down in these chaotic times, which means that we are continually in need of a moody, darkwave banger to soundtrack our hedonistic spirals. Enter Jennifer Touch's "Chemistry," the lead single from the Berlin-based artist's forthcoming debut album Behind the Wall. Rest easy knowing you are unlikely to find a track so thoroughly effusing the mood of anxious, irresistible club-pop. Take a listen below.

“'Chemistry' is the base of all of the songs on the record," Touch told Highsnobiety via email. "It was my first real song (the original version was released by Riotvan last year). It was created on a Sunday in my studio when I felt kind of depressed with everything, useless and alone. I knew I had the music inside but it felt like it was stuck... I’m really happy with how it turned it out."

Look out for "Chemistry" on Touch's debut album 'Behind the Wall,' set to release on April 24 via FatCat.
