Double Tap to Zoom

Joey Bada$$ has released three tracks today, accounting for his first new solo music in three years. "No Explanation," "Shine," and "The Light" together make up The Light Pack EP, which touches on the rapper's time away from music.

In addition to the EP, which follows Joey's 2017 album, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, the Brooklyn-born musician also shares an accompanying music video for "The Light," directed by Kerby Jean-Raymond and Levi Turner. The clip finds Joey attending a traditional Haitian Voodoo ceremony that took place in Brooklyn.

Jean-Raymond largely inspired the rapper to learn more about Haitian religious rituals, which ultimately led him to participate in the ceremony. The scenes from the video include real-life footage of Joey at the ceremony
