Nike's British Air Jordans Are as Handsome as They Are Hairy
Folks all over the world love Air Jordans. Over the years, the brand has shown that the feeling is quite mutal, dropping sneakers inspired the biggest cities around the globe. Think Milan-themed Air Jordan 1 Mids and all-black leather Jordan 10s inspired by New York City.
Now, it's time for an Air Jordan 4 for London.
The brand's done a clean grey Air Jordan 1 for the city before. Now, it's getting a nice-looking Jordan 4 in its honor. Emphasis on nice-looking.
Nike's "British" Jordan 4 lands with faded hairy suede, plus classic grey and washed red accents. It even comes with a vintage-style shoebox, which further leans into the sneaker's "aged" aesthetic.
There's also some clever "LDN" branding throughout, as well as a "Say Less" message on the inner tongue tag. The London connection is unclear there, but I think I understand the broader point. Less talking, more flexing.
A few years ago, the Jordan 4 got a KAWS-coded all-grey makeover inspired by the streets of Paris. Now, it's getting washed in a London-inspired color scheme.
Speaking of which, the Air Jordan 4 "London" sneakers are expected to drop on Nike's website in September. And good news (for Englanders): the shoes are reportedly a UK-exclusive.
