lululemon’s Latest Collection Has Plans After Practice
What if the same outfit worked for your morning run, the coffee stop afterwards, and every plan that somehow appeared in between? Thanks to lululemon and Zalando, it does.
lululemon’s new 55-piece collection takes an athletic-lifestyle approach to yoga, Pilates, running, and training. Technical for the workout. Comfortable for the commute. Styled for whatever comes next.
And Zalando gets first dibs. The collection lands on the retailer’s site on 1 September, three weeks before it reaches lululemon stores and the brand’s own platforms.
We’ve been seeing it everywhere: performance brands are turning pieces once reserved for workout classes into everyday fashion and lululemon is no stranger to this phenomenon.
The brand’s technical clothing has long been worn beyond the workout. This collection builds on that foundation with pieces designed to feel comfortable all day, stay breathable when the pace picks up, and look considered long after training ends.
Among the highlights are limited-edition monogrammed Track Jackets and Track Shorts for women, plus men’s Fast and Free running shorts and short-sleeve tops. The Track pieces bring the visual punch. Fast and Free keeps things light and ready to move.
That crossover is the point. These are clothes built to perform on the mat, track, and gym floor, then keep moving when practice ends. The workout may be over. The day is not.
Mindful performance sits at the collection’s centre. Training is not treated as one isolated hour in a busy schedule, but as part of a wider rhythm that includes travelling to practice, cooling down, meeting friends, walking the dog, and doing whatever else the day has planned.
One wardrobe, every workout, and no outfit change required afterwards.
Yoga and Pilates remain central, while running and training pieces keep things firmly rooted in performance. Technical function still leads. It just no longer clocks out when you leave the studio.
The campaign makes that especially clear. Shot in Berlin, it stars lululemon ambassador and professional runner Marc Tortell, who represented Germany in the 1,500 metres at this summer’s European Athletics Championships.
If you want to show that the clothing can keep pace, an actual 1,500-metre runner is a convincing place to start.
The six-week launch will appear across social media, online video, and the streets of Berlin and Munich, before extending into Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, and Austria.
Zalando is a natural first stop. It is already lululemon’s biggest retail partner across Europe and sits comfortably between performance and personal style. More importantly, it is where many of the brand’s European customers already shop.
The collection is made to meet people wherever their day takes them. For its first three weeks, that place is Zalando.
