MAX&Co. and the End of Outfit Panic
We all love to talk about freedom, individuality, and breaking rules in fashion. Actually getting dressed, though, is usually far less glamorous than talking about it. It’s the rushed mornings, the changing weather, the after-work plans you forgot you agreed to, the need to feel like yourself while still looking the part too. The idea of a modern life is one thing. MAX&Co.’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection shows: designing for it is another matter entirely.
But this isn’t a collection built on sensible solutions alone. It arrives with a little bite. What makes it stand out is the attitude running through it. There’s an unmistakable enfant terrible spirit at play. Rather than choosing between practicality and personality, MAX&Co. effortlessly brings the two together. The lineup brings exactly that: oversized trenches, cargo jackets, bombers, and car coats. All pieces are created with a timeless approach to make sure they work just as well on a night out as they do on a normal day in the office.
The rest of the wardrobe is just as persuasive: voluminous trousers, A-line skirts, classic polos, slip dresses and column shapes that carry you from dinner plans to all the smaller, less photogenic moments in between. The accessories finish the job. Oval sunglasses add the chic, leather toe-post sandals add the business, slingbacks bring the party. If “I’m not dressed for this” has long been your favourite excuse, this collection may have just ruined it.
The colour story brings the last details for summer. It’s all not too much and not too little but just enough shades to wake up a neutral look, with soft pastels, monochrome prints and other small little colour-pop moments.
Together with MAX&Co. we carried that sense of ease straight into a campaign, which wisely avoids feeling too polished or too self-serious. Fronted by DJ, model, and brand ambassador Paloma LeFriant, the imagery taps into the same non-conformist spirit as the clothes: confident, instinctive, and just rebellious enough. With a career that moves across different worlds, Paloma feels like a natural fit for pieces designed to do the same.
As usual with MAX&Co. the collection doesn’t exist in isolation. Continuing to build a broader creative universe through its ongoing &Co.LLABORATION series, the brand brings in different voices from fashion, art, and culture rather than keeping everything neatly in-house. This season sees the return of Pietro Terzini with the ‘1-800 Gift Alert’ capsule, alongside a new collaboration with LA-based designer Sami Mirò on ‘Becoming Undone’.
